Ghanaian side FC Savannah Ladies attacked by gun-wielding armed robbers  –

Ghana’s Women Premier League side Savannah Ladies have been attacked by armed robbers on their way to Kumasi.

The team bus was ambushed by gun-wielding robbers on the highway as they robbed them of their possessions.

One official of the club got injured and has been rushed to the hospital for medical attention.

“Thanks to Allah, the team has arrived safely in Kumasi. All players are fine but one official sustained injuries. Meanwhile the robbers made away with monies of the persons on board. Below are some pictures of our bus after the robbery”, the club gave an update on the incident

This is the second time this season a Ghanaian club have been attacked by robbers enroute to Premier League club.

Ashantigold SC were attacked last month while returning to Obuasi after a Ghana Premier League game against Hearts of Oak in the capital.
