The Ghana Football Association will appeal the CAF Disciplinary Committee’s ruling on the Black Maidens.
The Ghana’s U-17 Women’s national team was slapped with a two-year ban for the next two editions of the U-17 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for age cheating.
The sanction from CAF also involved a fine of $100,000 for the age falsification by Nancy Amoh and Rasheeda Shahadu
The two players of Black Maidens are believed to be above age 17 in the qualifiers against Morocco.
As a result, in compliance with Article 58 of the CAF Disciplinary Code, the GFA has paid the pertinent appeal filing expenses.
Ghana has already been booted out of the World Cup following a 4-2 loss to Morocco on penalties after the North Africans had restored the 2-0 scoreline in regulation time.
