Former Kotoko forward Stephen Manu urges club to bolster squad for Africa campaign

Former Asante Kotoko striker, Stephen Manu has called on management of the club to augment the squad for their Africa campaign.

Manu believes Kotoko do not have the quality to make a significant impact in the African club competition.

Asante Kotoko will compete in the preliminary stage of the CAF Champions League after their Ghana Premier League triumph.

“If they want to do well in Africa they have to invest well by getting some experienced players who have played outside Ghana in the team. If they rely on the local players they have currently, we can’t achieve anything in Africa” Manu said in an interview with Kessben FM.

The Porcupines have been linked with a number of players including GPL top scorer Yaw Annor as they hope to beef up the team for next season’s continental tournament.
