Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain are moving close to agreeing a deal with Nice for Christophe Galtier to become their new manager.
PSG are without a coach since parting ways with Mauricio Pochettino earlier this month after the club’s poor performance in the Champions League. The Ligue 1 champions want to be as respectful as possible to Nice.
PSG have not talked to Zinedine Zidane directly or indirectly about the role.
Speaking to Le Parisien today, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said: “We chose another option. We chose a coach who will be the best for what we want to put in place.”
PSG’s goal for the next few years is to have only Parisian players in the team.
Zinedine Zidane will NOT be new PSG manager, confirmed. Al-Khelaifi now announces: “We have decided for an other option as new manager – the best option for our tactical idea”, tells Le Parisien. ??? #PSG
