Hearts of Oak claimed a comfortable 3-0 victory over Heart of Lions, while Asante Kotoko suffered a damaging 2-1 defeat by Berekum Chelsea as the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League’s 10th matchday delivered several notable results.
Fixtures were played across the country on Friday and Sunday, November 6 and 8.
Hearts of Oak produced the standout performance at the University of Ghana Stadium, where veteran striker John Antwi scored twice. Ransford Mensah added the other goal as the Phobians collected all three points.
Asante Kotoko had looked on course for victory at Golden City Park after Inusah Adams gave the Porcupine Warriors the lead in the 60th minute. Berekum Chelsea responded six minutes later through Zakaria Fuseini before Yussif Bayanalabe completed the comeback with the winning goal.
Bechem United also secured a late victory, defeating FC Samartex 2-1 at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
Augustine Okrah put the hosts ahead after only one minute, but Gabriel Osei equalised for FC Samartex after half-time. Dennis Modzaka then struck deep into stoppage time to secure the points for Bechem United.
Defending champions Medeama SC continued their strong run with a narrow 1-0 win against Swedru All Blacks at TNA Park. Kingsley Braye scored the only goal in the 39th minute to earn the Mauve and Yellow another victory.
Port City FC recorded the same scoreline against Basake Holy Stars at Daasebre Boamah Darko II Park in Kukurantumi. Francis Gyetuah scored in the second half to settle the match in the hosts’ favour.
There was little to separate Karela United and Vision FC in Friday’s only fixture, with the teams drawing 0-0 at Aliu Mahama Stadium.
FC AshantiGold 04 were also held without a goal by Young Apostles at Len Clay Stadium, while Bibiani Gold Stars and Aduana FC finished goalless at DUN’s Park.
Dreams FC took the lead against Debibi United at Tuba Astro Turf when Bernard Kokonu Junior converted a penalty after a goalless first half. Kwadwo Obeng Junior rescued a point for Debibi United with a goal deep into added time.
