Ghanaian left-back Ebenezer Annan is the subject of a reported move from Ligue 2 club Saint-Etienne to Romanian SuperLiga side FC Rapid 1923.
Annan, 23, has been linked with the Romanian club as Rapid assess a possible deal for a player whose current market value is listed at €1.8m. The rumour was recorded on 17 August 2026, with no transfer fee or probability attached to the proposed move.
The defender is currently contracted to Saint-Etienne until 30 June 2028. That agreement means the French club retain his registration beyond the current campaign, while any transfer would need to be negotiated before he could join Rapid.
Annan’s position as a left-back is the only playing-role detail attached to the link. He is listed as Ghanaian and remains part of Saint-Etienne’s squad, with the French side competing in Ligue 2 and Rapid operating in Romania’s top flight.
The proposed switch would therefore represent a move between clubs in different domestic leagues and a change of country for Annan. There has been no indication of an agreed deal, completed transfer or final terms, so the player remains a Saint-Etienne player under contract through June 2028.
