The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved 14 venues for the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League following inspections and clearance by its Club Licensing Department.

The association published the approved list on 17 August 2026, ahead of a new campaign scheduled to begin between 4 and 7 September.

The venues named in the release include the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale, Accra Sports Stadium and the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Duns Park in Bibiani, Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Sambreboi and TnA Stadium in Tarkwa have also been cleared to stage league matches.

The approved venues additionally include Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in Bechem, AAK II Sports Arena, Tuba Astro Turf, Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, Golden City Park in Berekum, Nana Boamah Darko II Park in Kukurantumi and Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.

The announcement follows the GFA’s assessment of facilities through its Club Licensing Department, with the approved grounds available to clubs that meet the association’s requirements for hosting top-flight fixtures.

However, a number of clubs remain without approval for their proposed home venues as the start of the season approaches.

Aduana FC’s Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa does not appear on the approved list. The club must therefore wait for additional clearance or put forward another venue before the Premier League campaign begins.

Young Apostles are in a similar position, with Wenchi Sports Stadium also absent from the grounds approved by the GFA.

Newly promoted All Blacks have not received approval for their proposed venue in Swedru, while Vision FC’s Nii Adjei Kraku II venue is likewise yet to be cleared.

The outstanding venue decisions leave the affected clubs awaiting further communication from the association before their home-match arrangements can be finalised.

The 2026/27 Ghana Premier League is set to run over 30 weeks, with the season expected to conclude during the weekend of 28-31 May 2027.

The GFA has also outlined how the fixture calendar will be managed during the campaign. Midweek dates will be reserved exclusively for matches postponed or otherwise left outstanding, rather than being used for regular scheduled league fixtures.

That arrangement is intended to help maintain a balanced and orderly competition schedule throughout the season.

With the opening window set for 4-7 September 2026, clubs whose proposed grounds have not yet been approved will need either to secure clearance or nominate alternative venues before the campaign gets under way.
