Ghanaian-Serbian winger Douglas Owusu is the subject of reported interest from Hapoel Tel Aviv while contracted to Red Star.
The 20-year-old right winger joined the Serbian champions from Radnik on 19 January 2026 in a deal worth €2.2m. He signed a contract running until 31 December 2028, meaning Red Star retain him for the next two seasons beyond the current campaign.
Owusu has yet to make an appearance for Red Star in 2026-27, remaining unused in two Champions League qualifying matches and three Serbian league fixtures. His lack of involvement at the start of the season may form part of the context behind Hapoel Tel Aviv’s interest, although no transfer agreement has been reported.
The player arrived at Red Star after helping FK Radnik Surdulica win the Serbian Second League title in 2024-25. He then contributed to Red Star’s domestic success last season, when the club won the Serbian championship and cup.
Hapoel Tel Aviv compete in Israel’s Ligat ha’Al, while Red Star are preparing for another domestic and European campaign. Any potential move would involve a player who remains under a long-term contract in Belgrade, with his current deal scheduled to expire at the end of 2028.
