Former Ghana U20 striker Benjamin Fadi grabbed the opener for Varnamo who posted a 2-1 away victory over Assyriska FF in the Sweden second-tier league on Sunday.

The 19-year-old powerful center-forward needed just the first quarter of an hour to register the opening goal at the Södertälje Fotbollsarena before Juan Robledo netted in second-half stoppage-time to claim the maximum point for them.

Fadi, a member of the 2013 Ghana U20 squad, has maintained a consistent scoring form for Varnamo as he has scored three times in his last four games for the club.

Swedish-born AIK Solna defender Edward Owusu came off the bench to play his third game for Assyriska.
