Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur have, on Friday, confirmed a fresh departure from the club’s ranks.
The player to have been moved on? Cameron Carter-Vickers.
Stopper Carter-Vickers, of course, secured his latest departure from north London last summer.
After enjoying something of a hit-and-miss spell with AFC Bournemouth the season prior, the now-24-year-old was lured to Scotland, to link up with heavyweights Celtic.
And Carter-Vickers, in turn, went on to earn rave reviews for his performances in Bhoys colours.
The United States international, once regarded as the ‘next big thing’ on his way through the youth ranks at Spurs, quickly managed to establish himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet of boss Ange Postecoglou, on his way to a none-too-shabby 40 starts across all competitions.
Carter-Vickers even managed to chip in with a number of contributions in front of goal, finding the net in league meetings with all of Ross County, Hibernian, St. Mirren and, crucially, Rangers:

Celtic stay
In turn, it came as little surprise when word began to do the rounds in the media that Celtic had set their sights firmly on making the signature of the club’s loan defender permanent ahead of next season.
And now, as alluded to above, efforts towards precisely that have borne fruit.
As per an official announcement across Tottenham’s social media platforms, Carter-Vickers has brought a definitive close to his 13-year stint on the books of the Lilywhites:
We have reached agreement with Celtic for the permanent transfer of Cameron Carter-Vickers.
We wish Cameron all the best for the future.

Celtic, meanwhile, have too confirmed the news, adding that the 24-year-old has put pen to paper on terms through the summer of 2026:
