Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Prince Owusu, believes his side has moved on from their recent league defeat.
Kotoko suffered a 1-0 loss to rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The result left the Porcupine Warriors fifth on the league table.
They are now preparing for their next assignment against Young Apostles in Wenchi.
Young Apostles currently sit 16th, making the upcoming fixture crucial for both teams.
Owusu says training sessions after the defeat have convinced him that his players are mentally ready to respond.
“After the defeat to Hearts of Oak, on Tuesday, Wednesday, I was just looking at them, their body language, the way they were performing [in training], I saw that they’ve put it-the loss to Hearts- away and the one ahead of them is very important.”
The coach insists the focus has shifted fully to the next challenge.
“That gives me hope that these guys are really ready to do the job and when they are ready, they deliver,” Owusu said.
Kotoko will be aiming to secure maximum points away from home as they attempt to climb higher in the standings.
