FC Nordsjaelland forward Prince Amoako Junior has singled out teammate Caleb Yirenkyi for special praise, highlighting the midfielder’s influence at the club.
Yirenkyi has grown into a key figure since stepping up to the senior team, earning a reputation for reliability and intensity.
His steady rise has also been rewarded at international level, where he has accumulated eight caps with the Black Stars, including appearances in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Despite the growing recognition, Amoako insists success has not changed his teammate’s attitude.
“Caleb [Yirenkyi] doesn’t see himself the way we see him because he’s a very humble guy. He just focuses more on his work,” he told Joy Sports.
Amoako Junior went further in his assessment of the midfielder’s quality.
“Caleb is insane, he’s crazily good. I say this every time because he delivers almost every time, every game, and to keep that consistency is top level.”
“Caleb is a superstar, and I tell him so much every time, but he wants to achieve a lot too.”
During the 2025/26 campaign, Yirenkyi has featured 21 times in all competitions for Nordsjaelland, contributing one goal and four assists.
