Spanish La Liga outfit Villarreal CF have reportedly entered the hunt to sign Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, joining Premier League sides Sunderland and AFC Bournemouth in the race for the 20-year-old’s signature.
Fatawu has impressed in the Championship this season with Leicester City, contributing five goals and seven assists in 26 appearances. His pace, creativity, and attacking threat have made him one of the most sought-after young talents in Europe.
The Yellow Submarine are said to value Fatawu highly and are reportedly willing to offer around €30 million to secure the former Sporting CP forward, who remains under contract with Leicester until 2029. Sunderland are also believed to be preparing a competitive offer, intensifying the transfer battle.
The potential move would mark a major step up for Fatawu, whose performances in England have captured the attention of clubs across top European leagues. The Ghana international is also expected to feature in the Black Stars squad for their friendly against Germany later this March, providing another platform to showcase his talent.
