Morocco head coach Walid Regragui has dismissed Cameroon’s complaints about refereeing following their AFCON 2025 quarter-final exit, insisting the Indomitable Lions failed to do enough to deserve a result.
Responding to claims of unfair officiating, Regragui pointed to Cameroon’s lack of attacking threat during the match.
“The Cameroonian national team feels the refereeing was unfair, but they did not take any shots on goal,” he said.
Morocco went on to secure victory and book a semi-final clash against Nigeria, with Regragui stressing that his team’s success was built on performance rather than external factors.
