Walid Regragui has rejected suggestions that Morocco have benefited from favourable refereeing decisions at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, insisting his team has also suffered questionable calls.
The Atlas Lions boss pointed to incidents involving midfielder Bilal El Khannouss and a violent challenge in a previous match that went unpunished.
“For example, El Khannouss was pushed during the Mali match and nothing was called. In the last match there was a violent tackle, and if video technology had been used, their player should have been sent off,” Regragui explained think.
His comments come after Cameroon expressed frustration over officiating decisions in their quarter-final defeat, with the Moroccan coach adamant that his side earned progression on the pitch.
