Thomas Partey is set to leave Villarreal at the end of his contract in June, as he’s not part of head coach Marcelino’s plans.
The Ghanaian midfielder joined Villarreal on a two-year deal in August 2025 but has struggled to cement his place, making just 18 appearances across all competitions, totaling 943 minutes.
Partey’s contract expires on June 30, 2026, and Villarreal has reportedly informed him that he won’t be retained beyond the current deal.
The 32-year-old is expected to become a free agent, with his current market value estimated at €5 million.
Partey’s expected departure will bring an end to a brief chapter at Villarreal, and he’ll now need to find a new project as he enters the latter stages of his career.
