Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has held talks with winger Ernest Nuamah in Lyon as part of his ongoing player engagement ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The visit forms part of Addo’s efforts to keep close contact with key national team players as Ghana prepares for the tournament in Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
Nuamah is currently recovering from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury he suffered in April last year during a Ligue 1 match against Lille.
The Olympique Lyon attacker has made encouraging progress in his rehabilitation and has recently resumed gym-based training.
His return to competitive action is expected in the near future, boosting both club and country hopes. Addo used the meeting to discuss Ghana’s World Cup plans and to motivate the winger as he continues his recovery.
Nuamah has already made a strong impression in the qualifiers, featuring in five matches for the Black Stars. He also found the net twice during the campaign, underlining his importance to Ghana’s attacking setup.
