“The Work Continues”- Eleven Wonders Coach Aidoo Cautions After Basake Win

Techiman Eleven Wonders head coach Emmanuel Aidoo has urged calm following his side’s vital 2-0 victory over Basake Holy Stars, insisting the club’s fight to avoid relegation is far from over.

The win, only Eleven Wonders’ second of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, lifts the newly promoted side to nine points and provides a timely boost at the start of the second round of the campaign.

Speaking after the match, Aidoo welcomed the result but quickly reminded his players and supporters that there is still much to be done.

“It feels great, but we still need to work more,” Aidoo said. “We are not going to get swollen-headed because of this win. There are more hurdles to clear. Of course, we are excited, but the work continues.”

Reflecting on the game, the Eleven Wonders coach admitted his side had to weather early pressure before turning the contest in their favour.

“The first half was for them, and they couldn’t make use of their chances,” he explained. “In the second half, we took over. In football, you need to take your chances that’s all.”

Despite the morale-boosting victory, Eleven Wonders remain bottom of the 18-team league table, and Aidoo was clear about the team’s objective for the remainder of the season.

“We are on a rescue mission,” he declared. “Everybody is aware of it. The mission is to escape relegation.”

With Medeama SC ending the first round at the top of the table, Eleven Wonders will hope this hard-earned win can act as the spark for a turnaround as they continue their fight for survival in the second half of the season.
