The British High Commission’s Head of Communications, Bryan Wilson, has expressed support for adding Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah and Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi to Ghana’s squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Wilson believes the duo would strengthen the Black Stars, citing the demanding nature of the Premier League and the risk of injuries.
“Their addition can only make the team stronger — it brings competition and real depth. With the Premier League’s demands and the long road to the World Cup, injuries can happen. If Semenyo or Kudus are unavailable, options are needed,” Wilson said.
Nketiah and Hudson-Odoi, both eligible for Ghana through their heritage, have shown impressive form in England.
Their potential inclusion would give coach Otto Addo more flexibility and options for the World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars are in Group L of the World Cup and Otto Addo is keen on putting out a major statement at the global showpiece.
