Veteran Ghanaian winger Albert Adomah reached a remarkable career landmark after registering his 700th appearance in the English Football League.
The achievement came on a special occasion, as the former Black Stars forward featured for Walsall on his 38th birthday in a League Two clash against Shrewsbury.
Adomah’s longevity in English football has been built across the lower leagues, where he has consistently delivered for his teams.
Across his EFL journey, the experienced wide man has made 526 appearances in the Championship and a further 174 outings in League Two.
In that time, he has recorded an impressive return of 95 goals and 101 assists, underlining his influence over nearly two decades.
Although he had already reached 700 senior appearances earlier in his career, Saturday’s outing officially marked the milestone in EFL competition.
Reflecting on the moment, Adomah said, “That’s another milestone. 700 EFL games, I am assuming that’s just league games.
“That is amazing and it happens to be on my birthday, that’s a nice touch and that’s another milestone to celebrate.”
