Ghana winger Fatawu Issahaku has shared his excitement after producing a sensational goal in Leicester City’s 3-1 home victory over Ipswich Town in the English Championship.
The Black Stars attacker grabbed the spotlight with a remarkable 65-yard strike that left fans at the King Power Stadium in awe.
His effort proved decisive in a game where Leicester showed composure and attacking intent throughout.
Issahaku’s wonder goal came after Bobby De Cordova-Reid had opened the scoring with a powerful long-range effort.
Speaking after the match, the former Sporting CP winger made his intentions clear. “Amazing, I feel so good about scoring that goal.
“ I’ve been trying to get it, and I was so happy it went in, and I just feel happy. I hope [for] more goals and more wins so that we can get to where we want to be,” he told Leicester TV.
Jordan Ayew extended the Foxes’ advantage shortly after the restart, putting the hosts firmly in control before Jens Cajuste reduced the deficit for Ipswich.
The win was an important response as Leicester continue to chase a return to the Premier League.
The result moves Leicester City up to eighth on the table, just three points shy of the play-off places.
