Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has expressed strong belief in his squad as Ghana prepares for a World Cup group that includes England, Croatia, and Panama.
Speaking after the draw, Addo stressed that his side will not be intimidated despite facing one of the tournament’s giants.
“I look forward to every game as special,” he told ghanafa.org.
“England is the favourite in that group. We didn’t lose a single official game [in the qualifiers]… we did very well.
“Even though we have a very young team, we really, really did well, had a good harmony in the team, good union,” he added.
Ghana opens its World Cup campaign on June 17 against Panama in Toronto, before facing England and Croatia later in the month in what promises to be a defining test for Addo’s developing side.
