The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has arranged two key international friendlies for the Atlas Lionesses as preparation intensifies ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on home soil.
Morocco will take on Burkina Faso on November 28, 2025 in Marrakech, before facing continental powerhouse South Africa on December 2, 2025 in Agadir.
The fixtures form part of Morocco’s broader strategy to sharpen the squad ahead of next year’s tournament, where expectations are high following the country’s rapid rise in women’s football. With WAFCON set to be staged in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026, the host nation is targeting nothing less than the trophy.
The expanded 16-team competition will feature some of Africa’s strongest sides, including Nigeria, Senegal, and Ghana, making these friendlies a crucial test of Morocco’s readiness for the challenge ahead.
