Asante Kotoko Communications Director Sarfo Duku says the Porcupine Warriors are bracing for a difficult battle when they host Medeama on Sunday in a Ghana Premier League Matchday 11 clash at the Baba Yara Stadium.
Speaking to Kessben FM, Duku described Medeama as a “tough customer,” stressing that Kotoko will need full home support to maintain their unbeaten run this season.
“We take on Medeama in a high-profile Premier League match on Sunday. We are going into the game with all seriousness. We need to fill the stadium to the brim because it’s not going to be an easy game for us,” he said.
He added that Kotoko have already matched other title contenders this season including Aduana FC and Heart of Lions and must now rise to the occasion once again.
“Playing Medeama as one of the league contenders, we need to electrify the atmosphere to be able to beat them. I plead with the fans not to disappoint us. They should come in their numbers because we are yet to lose a game this season.”
Kotoko sit fourth on 20 points, just two behind Medeama in third, making Sunday’s encounter a key fixture in the early title race.
