Ghana Premier League side Basake Holy Stars have reinforced their technical bench with the appointment of veteran coach Johnson Smith.
The club confirmed the arrival of the former Asante Kotoko and Nations FC manager in an announcement on their official Facebook page on Tuesday, November 25.
“Basake Holy Stars warmly welcomes Johnson Smith to our technical team. His expertise and experience will be an asset to our club. We look forward to achieving more together,” the club wrote.
Smith joins the club shortly after leaving Nations FC and brings a wealth of experience from his work across several Premier League and lower-division sides. He also currently serves as one of two assistant coaches of the Black Satellites, supporting new head coach Maxwell Konadu.
Sitting in the relegation zone, Holy Stars are banking on Smith’s tactical knowledge and top-flight familiarity to help spark a turnaround in their season.
