Kotoko head coach Abdul Karim Zito is urging supporters to remain patient, insisting the club is still firmly in the hunt for the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League crown.
His comments followed a goalless clash with FC Samartex, a result that stretched the Porcupine Warriors’ unbeaten streak but added to a growing list of draws.
After ten matches, Kotoko remain the only side yet to taste defeat this season.
Three draws in their last four fixtures have slowed their push to the summit, but Zito dismissed any suggestion that the team is falling behind.
“Apart from being the first, no position fits Kotoko so we are chasing [the league title] and it is not too late,” Karim Zito said in his post-game presser.
The stalemate in Samreboi came on the back of earlier draws against Vision FC and Aduana FC, leaving Kotoko in fourth place.
They sit on 20 points and are three points shy of table-toppers Aduana, with the advantage of an outstanding match still to be played.
