Medeama SC were held to a 0-0 draw by Bechem United, staying top of the Ghana Premier League but failing to capitalize on a chance to extend their lead, leaving head coach Ibrahim Tanko to voice out his frustrations.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko acknowledged his team’s dominance in possession but criticized their inability to finish chances.
“We had most of the ball, but I think the last bite was not there,” Tanko said.
“Bechem came well prepared to defend and break when possible, making the match difficult for us. They came to play with all men behind the ball, they came to counter, and it worked very well for them.”
Tanko added that his team lacked patience in their build-up play, allowing Bechem’s strategy to pay off. “We didn’t have the patience to finish our build-up, but I think Bechem did very well, and one point is better than none.”
Medeama remains top with 22 points, but the league chase is intensifying.
