Chelsea legend Joe Cole has called on his former club to consider signing AFC Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo.
The Ghana international has registered six goals and three assists in 11 league appearances.
Semenyo recently signed a long-term contract with Bournemouth until 2030, which includes a £65 million release clause.
Cole believes the 25-year-old could immediately slot into Chelsea’s starting lineup under Marco Marseca.
“He’d be a welcome addition to the Chelsea squad, and he probably starts, because he’s been superb for Bournemouth,” Cole said in an interview with Paddy Power.
Chelsea already has depth in wide positions, with summer signings Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens, as well as breakthrough star Estevao.
Despite growing speculation, Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola insisted he is not worried about losing Semenyo during the upcoming transfer window.
“We are in November. Antoine is our player; he will continue being our player,” Iraola said.
