Black Stars defender Kojo Peprah Oppong says Ghana’s November tour of Asia offered important learning moments despite the team’s winless run.
The OGC Nice centre-back earned his first start for Ghana in the 2-0 defeat to Japan, later coming off the bench in the 1-0 loss to South Korea in the Kirin Cup.
Sharing his thoughts after the trip, the 21-year-old wrote on social media:
“No regrets, lessons only.”
Peprah Oppong, who is having a brilliant debut season in Ligue 1, has already made 12 appearances and scored one goal for Nice since joining from Norrköping in the summer. His rapid rise has caught the attention of several top European clubs.
He now has three caps for Ghana after making his national team debut during the World Cup qualifiers, and is expected to play a major role in Otto Addo’s defensive rebuild ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
