“Speedy recovery, son!” — GFA President Kurt Okraku sends support to injured Francis Abu

Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has extended heartfelt support to Black Stars midfielder Francis Abu following his serious injury against Japan in the Kirin Challenge Cup.

The 24-year-old left the pitch on a stretcher in the second half after suffering a broken leg, leaving fans and teammates concerned. Reacting on Facebook, Okraku wished Abu a swift recovery, expressing confidence that the midfielder would return stronger.

“Speedy recovery, son!!! Ghana is with u. You will be back stronger and better,” Okraku wrote. He also thanked medical teams from Toulouse FC and Japan for their support in managing the injury.

Abu has since been recalled by Toulouse FC and will travel to France for further assessment.
