Oak Ladies head coach Mercy Tagoe has blamed poor officiating for her side’s goalless draw against Hasaacas Ladies in the Women’s Premier League opener at Pobiman on Saturday.

The result earned Oak Ladies a valuable point on their Women’s Premier League debut against one of Ghana’s most successful clubs.

“We all saw what happened. Unfortunately, this time it is the new referees who were appointed to officiate this match that caused the results of the game,” Tagoe said.

“It would have been a different ball game if an experienced referee had, I mean, officiated this match. Even though we played home, we drew. It’s okay.”

“We are going back to the drawing board and will do the right thing and go and face the next team,” she added.
