The 2025 WAFU B U20 Girls’ Cup kicks off on Friday, November 7, in Benin, with Ghana’s Black Princesses set to begin their title chase against the host nation.
Unlike previous editions, this year’s tournament adopts a league format, where teams will play each other home and away.
The side finishing at the top of the standings will be crowned champions, replacing the usual group and knockout structure.
Ghana will open against Benin on November 7, before renewing their rivalry with Nigeria in what promises to be one of the standout fixtures of the competition.
The Princesses will meet Benin again on November 10 and conclude their campaign against Nigeria a day later, on November 11.
Running from November 7 to 12, the six-day event will showcase some of West Africa’s finest young female talents, serving as both a competitive platform and a preparatory stage for upcoming CAF and FIFA youth tournaments.
Led by coach Charles Sampson, the Black Princesses are determined to reinforce Ghana’s reputation as a powerhouse in women’s youth football within the WAFU Zone B.
