Ghana midfielder Kwasi Sibo has revealed his ambition to one day play in the UEFA Champions League with Real Oviedo.
The 26-year-old was pivotal in Oviedo’s promotion to La Liga last season and has quickly grown into an influential presence in their midfield.
Although he has featured in only four matches so far this campaign, Sibo says he remains motivated to help the Asturian club reach new heights.
“It’s tough in La Liga, but I like it there because they treat me like a king,” he told Graphic Sports. “We’re working hard to stay up, but one of my biggest ambitions is to play in the UEFA Champions League. Everything happens for a reason, and I believe I have the power to change situations.”
Oviedo currently sit 17th in La Liga with three points from their opening five games and face a stern test on Thursday when Barcelona visit the Estadio Carlos Tartiere.
