Black Princesses head coach Charles Sampson says his team is ready to take on Tunisia in the second-round qualifier for the 2025 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

The Princesses have been in camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, where preparations have been stepped up despite a few absentees.

“About three of our players are with the Police team, and two more are yet to join us, but those in camp have been cooperating well, and we’ve been moving step by step,” Sampson explained.

The team recently played against a local boys’ side to improve their speed and physicality ; a test the coach believes will help ahead of the Tunisian challenge.

“We’ve been psyching the girls for the game. We’ve studied Tunisia, assessed different scenarios, and everyone is cooperating. Our goal is to take the Princesses to the World Cup, but for now, our full focus is on Tunisia,” he added.

Sampson also highlighted the team’s playing philosophy, stressing that fans should expect attacking and dominant football from the Princesses.

“Ghanaians can expect good football, offensive and aggressive football where we dictate the pace. That’s the identity we are building,” he said.

New player Sanai Sereboe, who joined the squad a week ago, is still settling in, but the coach is confident she will soon be fully integrated.

The Black Princesses play the first leg against Tunisia in Tunis on September 20, before the return leg in Accra on September 28.
