Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew says he is not overly concerned about Leicester City’s slow start to the 2025/26 season, insisting there is still plenty of time to turn things around.

The Foxes suffered a second straight defeat on Saturday, losing 2-1 to Preston North End in the Championship.

That result followed their midweek Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Huddersfield Town, where Ayew missed his penalty after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.

Despite the early frustrations, the 32-year-old, who played the full 90 minutes against Preston, remains confident the team will recover.

“It was a game where we played a bit into their hands for them to be hitting channel balls. It’s still early days, so we’ll keep on working.

“The most important thing for us is that, in May, we’ll all be happy. There’s 44 games, there’s many games, so it’s good it happens now so we can correct things quickly,” Ayew told Leicester media.

Leicester will look to respond when they continue their Championship campaign next weekend, with Ayew eager to help guide the Foxes back to winning ways.
