Berekum Chelsea are set for a tough opener in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season, taking on Asante Kotoko in Week 1 – a game which the club’s Spokesperson Isaac Obeng says they are motivated to win.
Isaac Obeng acknowledges the challenge, describing Kotoko as one of Ghana’s top teams.
“We’re looking at the recruitment, Kumasi Asante, and I can say Asante Kotoko is the best team so far in Ghana,” Obeng said on LUV fm.
Despite the daunting task, Berekum Chelsea are preparing intensively in Kumasi, hoping to beat Kotoko and start the season on a positive note.
The team’s coach, Samuel Boadu, shares Obeng’s sentiments about the difficulty of the game.
