Head coach Kim Bjorkegren says the Black Queens must be more ruthless in front of goal when they face Algeria in Saturday’s WAFCON quarter-final.
“Algeria are solid at the back and have a strong keeper,” he said. “We need to stop taking wild shots from 45 meters and start creating proper chances.”
Ghana finished second in Group C, while Algeria reached the knockout stage without conceding a goal in a group that included Nigeria and Tunisia.
Bjorkegren admits it’ll be a tough match, but says he trusts his players to deliver.
