More than 1,600 juvenile-level coaches have been trained across Ghana over the past two years, according to GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum.

Speaking to Peace FM, he said the initiative forms part of the FA’s commitment to improving grassroots football, ensuring coaches are no longer relying solely on experience but now receive proper training, including first aid, communication, theory, attachments, and written exams.

“So it is a program for the past two years the FA has rolled out and we have worked on it today I can say over 1600 coaches have been trained at juvenile level like we say it colts all the regions.”

He noted that all regions registered their coaches, who were then trained by certified instructors under CAF guidelines.

Successful participants received License D, the entry-level coaching certificate, with an opportunity to upgrade after two years.
