Jamaica had to rely on a last-gasp penalty from 23-year-old Richard King to beat Trinidad and Tobago and secure passage to the final of the 2025 Unity Cup, where they face one of Ghana or Nigeria.

After a quiet start to the game, Jamaica had their tails up when Kasey Palmer converted from the spot inside 25 minutes.

The Reggae boys held on to their advantage as they outplayed Trinidad and Tobago heading into the interval.

It was more of the same in the second period as Rumarn Burrell doubled Jamaica advantage before the hour mark.

However, two minutes from going behind, Trinidad and Tobago pulled a goal back and levelled through Kevin Molino with 29 minutes to the end.

Jamaica came out on top in the end courtesy a late strike from Richard King from the spot .

The result means Jamaica will face either Ghana or Nigeria, who play on Friday, in the final of the 2025 Unity Cup.
