Ruben Neves looks likely to leave Wolves during the 2022 summer transfer window, but where will the midfielder end up?
The Portuguese appears to have a number of suitors, one of which is Manchester United. The Red Devils are in desperate need of a central midfielder, especially now that Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic have left the club on free transfers.
And whilst Neves may not be the out and out no.6 United are crying out for, he would still be an improvement on most of their current options in that area.
Neves has been on Wolves’ books since 2017 when he was signed from FC Porto along with now Liverpool man, Diogo Jota.
Neves has featured 212 times for the Midlands-based outfit, scoring 24 goals – most of which were long-range rockets – and providing 12 assists along the way.
However, it does not look as though Erik ten Hag’s side are the favourites to land the Wolves star. Instead, with Betfair, FC Barcelona are named as the current favourites with odds of just 7/4.
It is then Arsenal, not Manchester United, who are the second favourites with odds of 4/1. The Red Devils are then priced at 5/1, followed by Newcastle (12/1), Tottenham (14/1) and Manchester City (16/1).
