Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has made a bold prediction Black of the Black Satellites U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) quarter finals against Egypt.
Ghana will take on the hosts at the Suez Stadium on Monday, with an opportunity to qualify for the semi-finals of the AFCON.
The semi-finals of the AFCON doubles as the qualifiers for the U20 World Cup.
Ghana, who won the U20 World Cup in 2009, are yet to participate in the tournament since 2015.
Speaking to 3Sports, Former Black Satellites midfielder and World Cup winner, Agyemang-Badu, says he is upbeat of the team’s chances.
“Well, the team has been doing well. Three games undefeated; they wom two and drew one. Our quarter-finals game is against host nation Egypt.”
“I have watched Egypt their games. What i have seen about them is they are good in transition. But trust Desmond and his boys they are going to deliver in the quarter-finals. I’m very optimistic we will win the game qualify for the World Cup,” he said
