The National Sports Authority has regained ownership of Tamale’s Kaladan Park following the resolution of a long-standing legal dispute.

The reclaimed land, which spans the size of five football fields, is expected to become a focal point for sports infrastructure investment in the Northern Region.

Newly appointed NSA Director General, Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, toured the area during a working visit and highlighted the need for urgent upgrades and fresh development.

His team, including Chief Director Alhaji Abubakar Mahamoud, confirmed that most of the previously encroached lands around the facility have also been secured.

The successful recovery marks a significant win for the NSA’s ambitious RESET initiative aimed at revamping sports facilities across the country.

Once documentation is finalised, the NSA plans to engage private investors to help breathe new life into the once-celebrated “sakora pitch.”
