Nsoatreman FC began their Ghana Premier League campaign with a 2-0 victory over debutants Young Apostles at Nana Koromansah Park on Sunday.
Mohammed Abdul Rahman scored just before halftime, securing a 1-0 lead for the MTN FA Champions.
The early exchanges of the second half saw a balanced contest, with neither side able to break through the opposition’s defense.
However, with minutes left to play, Colins Kudjo sealed the win for Nsoatreman FC, adding a second goal to kill off the game.
Young Apostles, led by Joseph Asare Bediako, will need to regroup after a defeat in their first match.
They face a tough test against Nations FC in their next fixture.
Meanwhile, Nsoatreman FC will also face a challenging encounter against Asante Kotoko in their next match.
