Ghanaian winger Kamaldeen Sulemana is set to miss the start of the 2024-2025 English Premier League season due to an injury.
The 22-year-old suffered an undisclosed injury during their 2-0 pre-season loss to Oxford United.
Manager Martin Russell confirmed that he will be out for three weeks.
As a result, Sulemana is likely to miss the Saints’ opening game against Newcastle on August 17 at St. James’ Park.
Sulemana’s absence will be felt by Southampton, who are already short on options on the wing.
