Ghanaian winger Joseph Paintsil was on target and grabbed two assists for Los Angeles Galaxy in 3-2 win against Portland Timbers FC in the Major League Soccer.
Paintsil sealed the victory for the host in the 58th minute after setting up goals scored by Gabriel Pacc and Riqui Puig.
Jonathan Javier Rodriguez and Santiago Moreno had netted to restore parity.
Paintsil’s outstanding performance won him MVP and was rated 8.3 after the game at the Dignity Health Sports Stadium in USA.
The win moves Los Angeles Galaxy to the top of the league standings with 49 points after 26 games in the ongoing campaign.
