Liverpool star man wants to remain in the Premier League if talks with his club over a new deal hit a snag.
The Egyptian is currently in talks with the Reds over a new deal but while admitting he would like to stay at Anfield, the club isn’t willing to meet some of his demands something that has alerted most of the top clubs in Europe.
Previously, Salah admitted that he would like to test the Laliga should he leave the Premier League but new reports from the Athletic indicate that the player would like to remain in England.
The report suggests that the Egyptian forward has been offered a 15% increase on his current deal, but wants to become the world’s sixth-highest paid player and “prefers” a switch to another Premier League club if he and Liverpool cannot agree terms.
Salah’s current deal is due to expire at the end of next season and with Sadio Mane set to leave the club too, the winger feels that he can walk away too if his demands are not met.
Salah and Mané were key components of Liverpool’s success last season, scoring 39 goals between them in the Premier League alone.
