Black Stars B coach Annor Walker says he chose players for the 2023 CHAN qualifiers based on the work of sports journalists.
Walker named a 35-man squad which is dominated by Hearts of Oak with seven players, while Ghana Premier League leaders Asante Kotoko have only three players.
Speaking in an interview with Class FM, Annor Walker said; “To be frank I did the selections based on stats from Journalists.”
“I also made my checks and did some monitoring on the selected players and they are the best.”
“I believe as good friends as you are (journalists) am not sure you will recommend me a bad player.”
“Besides this, I have called 25 players. We are going to camp. Within one week, me Annor Walker I’m telling you, even two days I can come up with my team,” He added.
The Black Stars B are in search of a ticket to the biennial competition scheduled for Algeria in January 2023.
Ghana have failed to qualify for the tournament in the last three editions and will hope to make another appearance this time around.
The Black Stars ‘B’ finished second in the 2009 and 2014 editions of the tournament.
