Hearts of Oak suffered a 1-0 defeat to Accra Lions in the Week 28 outstanding fixture of the Ghana Premier League.

Ibrahim Issa scored the only goal for the Lions in the 56th minute at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Phobians have now suffered four defeats in their last five games of the ongoing campaign.

Issah came close to securing an equalizer in injury time, but goalkeeper Andrews Owusu made a crucial save to keep the lead.

Lions are now on a three game unbeaten run.

The win moves the visitors to 3rd position with 43 points after 28 games in the Ghanaian top-flight campaign.

The defeat saw the Phobians drop to 12th position in the league standings with 35 points. They will travel to face Berekum Chelsea at Golden City Park in their next encounter.

Lions will host Aduana FC in the nation’s capital.
