Accra Great Olympics showcased their prowess by securing a commanding 4-2 triumph over Aduana Stars in Week 23 of the Ghana Premier League in an entertaining game at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The clash began with both teams fiercely battling for dominance on the field. Isaac Mensah broke the deadlock for Accra Great Olympics in the 19th minute, setting the tone for an intense encounter.
Striker Albert Amoah quickly followed suit, netting two goals in rapid succession at the 28th and 34th-minute marks, sending the home crowd into wild celebrations.
Despite Aduana Stars’ Zakaria Mumuni pulling one back just before halftime, Amoah remained relentless, completing his hat-trick with a clinical finish in the 73rd minute.
Aduana Stars fought bravely, notching a second goal in the 83rd minute, but Olympics’ staunch defense held firm, denying any further comeback attempts.
Accra Great Olympics will play Nations FC away in their next league game. Aduana Stars will take on Real Tamale United at home.
