Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca was full of praise for Ghanaian winger Fatawu Issahaku after his standout performance in The Foxes’ 1-0 victory over Sunderland in the Sky Bet English Championship.
The win ended Leicester’s three-game winless streak and brought much-needed relief to the team and their supporters.
Issahaku, who has been making a name for himself in English football since his arrival at Leicester, was a constant threat to the Sunderland defense throughout the game. His pace, skill, and creativity on the ball left the opposition struggling to contain him, and he played a crucial role in Leicester’s attacking play.
Maresca, who has been impressed with the young winger since his arrival at the club, was full of praise for Issahaku’s performance.
“In the first half he was very good on the ball, offensively,” he said after the game.
Issahaku played 86 minutes in the contest before being replaced by James Justin.
The Black Stars winger has played 30 games, scored three goals, and assisted nine goals.
